Born and raised in Tehran, Shabnam K. Ghazi currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada. Through the 1990s, she completed several paintings, sculptures and ceramic apprenticeships with Iranian masters in Tehran. She has exhibited extensively in Iranian galleries and museums. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from York University Toronto in 2009.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally in both juried and invitational exhibitions. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Iran, the United States, Canada and Cuba, such as the Tehran Contemporary Museum of Arts; International Print Center New York; Edward Hopper House Art Center New York; Olga Korper Gallery, Toronto; University of Toronto Art Gallery; Art Gallery of York University; Art Galleries at Harbourfront Centre, Toronto; and Pierre-François Ouellette art Contemporain, Montreal. Her works are held in numerous private and public collections, including the TD Bank Corporate Art Collection.
